Amidst the potatoes, corn and wheat typically grown on the vast and sprawling farms in Boise, Idaho, Torrie Wilson was one of the most athletic competitors emerged. Wilson was an aspiring fitness model at the time she entered the sports entertainment industry during the late 90s. Her entrance into the field came from an WCW backstage tour with her former boyfriend. After being with Scott Steiner into the ring for a short time, she stayed on in the business for almost 10 years. Wilson was also the manager of the competitors David Flair (occasionally), Billy Kidman, Shanth Douglas and The Filthy Children, while competing in the WCW circuit. Wilson joined WWE in the spring of 2001, following the acquisition of WCW. Wilson's athleticism makes her a perfect fit for WWE in one of the sports and entertainment's most thrilling times. Wilson's friendship with her pal (and sometimes adversary) Stacy Keibler made her a key figure in the WCW's assault on WWE. Wilson was a prominent member of WWE Women's Division after the assault was defeated. She was engaged in a variety of epic battles against Keibler and Sable. And even Dawn Marie, who was a sworn enemy of her family, needed to be defeated.
