Anita Saarkessian
Anita Sarkeesian is a Canadian-American feminist media critic and public speechwriter. She is the founder of Feminist Frequency a website that hosts videos and commentary analyzing depictions of women's roles in popular media. Anita Sarkeesian a Canadian American media critic. She's committed to removing stereotypes of women as they are depicted in pop culture. Furthermore she has a mission to increase the awareness of harassment on social media targeted at women and the marginalized communities of people. Sarkeesian is a graduate in the fields of social thought and political science at York University. She is an extremely well-respected and respected public speaker. Sarkeesian gave speeches to the TEDxWomen XOXO Fest and United Nations Broadband Working Group. Interested in issues concerning gender identity and feminism from at an early age, she created her own website Feminist Frequency in 2009 while she was still at university. The determined lady had planned to start a web-based series examining gender representation in video games. She was the subject of an online harassment campaign. The attack did have been a hindrance, rather it was a boost to her determination as a feminist media critic. To honor the numerous achievements she's made for feminist movements, she has been recognized with numerous awards. Anita Sarkeesian was a multi-award winning media journalist.
