Meagan Good was born in Panorama City, Los Angeles on August 8, 1981. Her mother Tyra Wardlow Doyle worked as her manager as she entered her teens. The acting career of Meagan Good began around age four. Her family was from Canyon Country, California with three of her siblings. She started her acting career as an actress in television series such as Doogie Howser Amen, M.D. and Doogie Howser Amen. At the age of 13, she made her debut in the film, Friday. Her first recognition came from her role as the teenage troubled Cisely Batiste in Eve's Bayou in 1997 for where she won two awards nominations. One of them was the first N.A.A.C.P. She played Vanessa Scott on the 2003 sitcom My Wife and Kids. She was in D.E.B.S (2004) the comedy action film. The movie won her the award of Best Actress by the Black Movie Awards in 2005.
